Aluminium AN fittings are industry standard for mil spec lines (AN meaning Army/Navy) and common in most motorsport applications for fuel and oil lines, I have only ever seen stainless or zinc coated mild steel used for brakes though, potentially there is a reason that they don’t use alloy on brake stuff with DOT fluid?
Sorry, not trying to argue (sorry if it came across as that) had a bad experience and was very common failure point in motorbike circles. Hence I am wary ever since. But then again these were anodised purple to match other bits of the bike.
Also for motorsport applications there is more scrutiny, and scrutineers know what to look for. Actually wonder what they use in the aeronautical industry.
Also I drone on to aircooled VW people to change the fuel lines regularly.
