No need to go mad with posting proof, i'm not saying you haven't, But it is worth noting that most applications would only use steel (or stainless) on brake fittings.
All of the anodized ones are for Fuel / Oil / Water only hence @Jung 's picture of a fuel line

Sorry, not trying to argue (sorry if it came across as that) had a bad experience and was very common failure point in motorbike circles. Hence I am wary ever since. But then again these were anodised purple to match other bits of the bike.
Also for motorsport applications there is more scrutiny, and scrutineers know what to look for. Actually wonder what they use in the aeronautical industry.
Also I drone on to aircooled VW people to change the fuel lines regularly.
Have had the fittings fail due to corrosion on motorbike brake lines. Will add proof later.
