I might just bite the bullet and order the IQ-x then!

I thought the ED2 innards were Cyo Premium, which have gone from 60 to 80 lux over the years?
You may well be right, I haven’t done any actual research on that. My Ed 2 is fine but a touch weedy compared to the IQx or a Lumotec

I have a B&M IQ-X which I had one point mounted on my front PDW with the Isen machined light mount. I think this was eventually responsible for snapping the guard. I ride s small frame so have no head tube to fit a barbag and front light if use the fork. Any other ideas to get the light mounted on the guard or where to mount to cause the least stress?

An extra stay at the front of the mudguard to minimise vibration?

Looking for a bike computer (Wahoo) mount which I can mount my dynamo light (B&M IQ-X). underneath, are there any out there which don't break the bank? See a lot of K-Edge ones with the Go-Pro style fixing, but they're pricy.

Hasn't the Edelux 2 been stealth upgraded over the years?
I asked SONs customer service the same question a year or two ago, this was their answer:
You are right, recent Edelux II give brighter light compared to
Edelux II we made a few years ago. We are working continuously on
improvements of our products. Not every small change is communicated
publicly. -

I thought this too, as both iq x and Edelux 2 are both claiming 100lux on their respective tech sheets.
Always seemed odd that they wouldn’t update as time goes on, but then always confused by comments in this thread!

Could you use something like this:
Combined with something mounted to a stem face plate, or, perhaps better, somehow mounted underneath an out front garmin mount? I've done similar with a go pro,I'm sure someone here has done similar with a dyno light.
Edit: have a look down this page:
