It was around longer than the white dial but it is a relative rarity in the sense that Rolex silver dials are usually a warmer champagne colour, not a proper colourless silver like this one. I don’t know how popular it was though, and maybe it also gets thought of as the “Domino’s Rolex”.
Give it a couple of years, they’ll bring a normal non-gilt silver one back.
OP today, wanted to compare it to the GS and yes, the GS looks and feels every bit as special, if not more so. Still, no one can match the Rolex bracelet (especially the end links).
