I’ve read all the Dune books by Frank Herbert.. also Star Wars robbed tons from it, cloning (later chapters), tatooine, spice smuggling, obese characters, mind control, giant worms etc.
the original Dune film was ace, books are better though. The Fremen parallels are overtly Islamic though not a criticism, but I wonder whether this is sheer mockery on the authors part. Okay it’s science fiction and message should be don’t follow the prophet..
Monty Python should do Dune version in the same style as Life of Brian
