What's on the left side? What's the bump for?
-
• #58604
It look almost like a case that can be drilled either side for the crown doesn’t it?
-
• #58605
Maybe for balance

• #58606
Pro tip: you can turn the case around if you want the crown on the other side.

Just found out its for a depth gauge fitted to more expensive models.

Nice selection of Citizen.
Dare I say a nice alternative to the 'mainstream'.

Quite like the Farer field collection.
What the general opinion on them? They look like a rather successful micro brand.

Farer field collection
Meh. There are a lot of options out there from companies that have done field watches longer, better and cheaper. Hamilton, Citizen, Seiko....
If you like the looks, you like the looks, but I struggle with the price point.

Agree, not many field type watch have at least 100m WR (Farer is 200), and dates at the same times.
Like the fact it come with 3 straps.

I think they are nice to look at. Suspect the finishing / quality is not up to the money they are asking for them though.

I very nearly bought a Farer Exmoor but I couldn’t justify the price tag as lovely as it is. I went for a Seiko SNK805K2 in the end and I’m happy (and £700 better off). The Bulova Hack was another similar option I like.

I have one of these that ticks your boxes for WR and date

Retail is £465 and you can find them for less with a bit of looking. You can buy a lot of straps for £300.

I do love Hamilton, that particular one tickled me but the case size of 42mm is quite gigantic for a field type watch.

Quite cool.

Excuse the SBGW spam but we have a winner in the strap contest. I think it was @Stonehedge who recommended Camille Fournet straps at some point and yeah, it’s the nicest strap I’ve had and suits the watch to a tee IMO.

Sorry it was sarcasm.
There's no such thing as -0. It's just 0. Well there is -0, but not in this context. The copywriter just thought it looked better, but it looks wrong.
What's going on on the left side of the case? That bump?
