Why don't you just get on board with a bling retro 90s mtb....
Always going against the grain

Tired of being massively overbiked riding the Trek on gravel?
-
• #4205
nah I just have everything but a frame for a gravel build in the shed, might as well
-
• #4206
Just a coincidence that it's now cyclocross season eh
-
• #4207
i gave it a serious thought but the driving to riding to entry fees ratio doesent work out, I just like riding my bike IRL or on turbo

Yes, valid argument for Swanley, Herne Hill, and Crystal Palace
Just build another bike

I just want a vagabond because @Mickie_Cricket has one

If you race cross I will come and cheer.
Make it the January Herne Hill one and you can ride there.

and listed on ebay as soon as I built it without riding.

My take; why not build bikes and list them on ebay/fb marketplace and keep riding?
Let the market decide wether it wants me to keep riding or not.

I had a look at that thread and it did my head in. It goes on and on and on and it's all about buying new. What a stupid idea.

yes. go amey.

Although I would NEVER own a bike like that because of the philosophical implication to The Fixie Scene someone could probably have a great time on it

First outing on my regular gravel loop yesterday. Quite muddy in sections. Few points:
- I missed the suspension but i may have overinflated the front tyre
- I did not miss it as much so that I want to keep going through the pain of servicing the fucking thing
- Ideally this bike should be carbon; because steel is beneath me. Poverty material for a bicycle.
- Lack of suspension meant that at some downhill sections I had a lot of sketchy moments, fine but wanted to record this for the history/culture
- Did not miss/need the dropper
- Brakes are amazing
- Did not feel that I was knackered due to lack of suspension which might be because hand position of flared drops vs flat bars/risers
Now I want to take this bike to Bedgebury trails and see how it fares there.
Thanks for reading.
