The tyre pressure shows on the Garmin, so you can see at a glance if you need to get the pump out, and if you do then you can see the precise pressure in the tyre as you pump it up (the big gauge on my Lezyne pump is a bit optimistic).
Saves pumping past the point you think you want, then bleeding it back down to your target with the digital pressure gauge.
You can always do a @hippy , keep riding until you almost punctured due to excessively low pressure (as he did at 20psi on his Condor).
