  • despite having +10,000 tunes on my iPod classic (transferred from CDs mostly), i haven't owned any vinyl since 1991 because I sold everything mostly 12" imports and albums, with much regret probably worth a mint today.

So this is about to change as I want to DJ again, but only purchasing 7" singles from the 60's 70's and 80's.. first in my collection is this find on ebay.. its gonna be an expensive hobby, however spinning records at home will bring alot of joy, that and owning a technics SL 1200 mk3 turn table.

  • ^ I've just found out there was a "James Brown's Funky People part 3" released in 2000 for RSD, 12 years after Volume 2. I've probably got very track on it on other albums but BUGGER.

  • Yes I saw that going through eBay this week. I have vol 1 and vol 2 in CD format

Vol 3 has a track by AABB called ‘pick up the pieces (one by one)’.. this was James Brown’s response to AWB with ‘Above Average Black Band’.. I love that, made me smile.

So it's either $30 + $15 p&p vinyl from the US.. or just accept an itunes copy for £0.99

I should put this in the best covers thread..
