Anywhere with a sand based soil ( like Swinley ) rather than a dense clay based soil that takes forever to drain ( like Epping )
Sandy soil supposedly wears your drivetrain quicker, but who knows. I'm not doing enough mileage for the odd bit of mud splattering to bother me
CX bikes and singlespeeds pretty much rule for winter mud

Like I need another SS in my life.
It might wear out faster but if it's not hitting the bike so much it's not that bad. I don't care so much if I wear stuff out from normal use, but I don't want to have to spend 2x the ride time hosing stuff off, cleaning clothes, etc.
This is why I don't ride MTB in UK.
Actually, are there any places that aren't total shitfromabutt-fests near London?
Like how chopped up and sloppy is Chiltern Ridgeway in winter? Epping looks pretty soggy but there must be places that aren't practically under water?
