  • That looks great, are they screw on cable guides under the top tube?

  • Yeah they are, suprisngly nice feature on a cheapo frame

  • Nice indeed, thinking of getting the same on a track frame i'm about the send to Varonha. Assuming the fixings act as cable guides and not cable stops? As in you have to run an outer cable the length of the top tube?

  • yeah they're for full outer cable runs

  • @spotter there are 2x 21" sherpas for sale on the stanton owners group on fb

  • thanks its more of a want not need at the moment though!

  • Hey @spotter what size tyres did you squeeze in to the vagabond in the end? 60mm GB guards you used innit?

  • 2" semi slicks, 2.1 knobbies rubbed

  • My cousin has asked me to build a bike for them; something similar to what I built for my GF. @Simba , being the prince amoung men that he is, picked me this Pelago Hankko up at a local bike Jumble.

I picked up a matching Pelago Rasket too

    I have:

    • headset
    • Shimano Hydraulic brakes
    • X5 rear derailleur
    • silver seatpost

Need some silver mudguards, sweepy bars, some deore square taper cranks pedals etc

I'll going need to confirm whether she wants dynamo lights or not yet, but she has confirmed she wants it powder coated green.

  • Terreno dry? Weird, I can't find them in 2", only 38 and then 2.1. They seem well rated though (yes I'm basically copying your bike lol).

  • Ah no, I ended up using the grave king GK plus

  • Parts stacking up

She decided not to go for Dynamo so I've got her a good deal on some lights

  • Part selection is on point as always.
What is the deal on lights, if I may ask?

  • They were £55 from Wiggle, RRP was £87, they were reduced to £68 and then there was some random code honey applied for me to get them down that cheap. I also used it to get the C19 for £55.

  • I never posted photos of this as I got a bit funny about it for some reason...I wan't happy with the photos maybe?
Anyway, here is the initial build for my Vagbond. Its changed a bit since and I'll post some more photos to cover that.

    Version 1.0

I spent a long time on the dynamo routing, its internal in fork blade, down the DT which has a set of plugs so you can take off the mudguard, which its routed through.

  • You didn't, I never posted them, but I have now https://www.lfgss.com/comments/16226036/

  • It's silly nice.

Do you tide it to work every day?
I'd like to see it all packed up with bags and dangles

  • Lovely. Do you find it pretty short with the back-sweep on those bars? I'm sure it makes for a nice 'sit back and look at the trees' kind of ride.

  • Also that top cap was give years before the current trend!

  • Very well thought out. Good details

  • Lovely. What’s the front rack?

  • Blimey what a nice bike, great job.

  • Version 1.1

2" gravel kings (2.1" rubbed the mudguards) and a custom frame bag; which is maybe a bit small, though no fault of the maker, its excellent otherwise!

  • Absolutely fantastic.
