Buy a newish commercial Sprinter that's been used for something light duty and delivery-ish in nature (cardboard box delivery or carpet or something...) c. £12,000
Also; choose the biggest, longest, highest roofed one you can find... it's going to be a pain in the tits to park it places one way or the other so you might as well have one you can comfortably stand up inside and frollick with ease within.
Then fit out interior to your desires by plying handy forumengers with tea and sandwiches to carry out the works... c. £4,000
As for the EV I rather fancy an i3 with or without the range extender for the money... I hate BMW as a rule but they're quirky and I like the characterful looks... c. £12,000

Same.
I mean it's made with carbon fibre.
@Dammit - I know the brief is for the EV to take a wardrobe. But honestly how often do you need the space in a world where you have a van?
I wanted a new van because I wanted to minimise the chances of anything going wrong with it.
Also, second hand campers are £!, to the extent that (as the gap to new is so small) I struggle with the price a little.
But, you can't buy a new vehicle these days, so the question is what can I get now that I can then dick around with?
