you only need to look at the responses to see it's required.
Agreed. Is the implementation (for want of a better word) via fb something that can be improved upon?
E.g. why reach out to tell the currently mostly m.a.w.m. audience there that this is going to be happening, so inviting the responses seen?
Maybe better to just crack on with getting the right people aware and involved then later on tell the existing audience what a positive difference the work has made?

Thanks @chokalateboywonder what a stellar line up. Some brilliant conversations had, props to Rapha for hosting.

Ah I missed this, places went very quickly

Probably trying to reach the widest audience possible, so if any triathletes know any black triathletes they can let them know it exists.
Facebook is the first port of call for any sort of social media engagement/announcement. Hopefully over the coming months their team will find other avenues to get the word out..

Friend who used to work at rapha sent me this. Wondered if I’d known about it and said I had no idea this was happening.
Will watch in a bit.. -

had no idea this was happening
I caught mention of it not long after it was announced on an IG story. Tried my best google-fu to RSVP and came up with absolutely nothing, including on the Rapha site. Looks like not much space for attendees tbh so probably only needed limited promotion

Don’t follow rapha on social media, so assume it was the opposite to the black triathletes Facebook call, in terms of they knew who they wanted to invite and probably let them spreading the word through their networks to find an audience..
-
• #1387
Yeah, wasn't on Their social media itself where I caught it

Hopefully over the coming months their team will find other avenues to get the word out..
Hope so. The fb approach is likely to be quite a deflating experience for anyone reading the comments.

not sure if this has been posted, looks really well put together

edit: David said be very wary of the press, ^ this was published without his consent…
… this guy is very special, he spoke honestly and frankly about the plight of black people today. Along with our stellar panellists and 150 employees on the Teams call, the Q&A was very hard hitting. Utter privilege to host this event at work.

Was at the dave chappelle yesterday. Interesting to see so many different types of people.
It's interesting to see how many people really listen to what he has to say.

"ethically diverse" makes me cringe a bit tho, especially when describing people.
