My H is orange...
Have PMd you for more details.

Surely all that braking power is only going to accelerate the frame failure SWB are known for?
-
• #10254
What frame failure? This kind of thing?
Seems like it’s rare enough that I’m not too worried. I’ll keep an eye on it for sure but it’s not like I’m gonna be stoppy-ing up to every red light I come to.

Why not?!

Why not?!
Well at the moment coz my bike will fold itself up! Hopefully taking care of that soon though ;)

A self-folding Brompton?!? I'm all ears... 🙃

Just rotate your suspension block.

Is there a way to make an old Brompton have a locking rear triangle? Aftermarket or bodge.
-
• #10261
Yeah I can take some photos.
Think it’s a pretty straight forward process though eh?

There’s an official kit:

What is the mod the Brompton racers make to get the super low front end?
M-type stem with S-type bars?

In all the image results for "Brompton World Championship" the bikes with S bars look to also be running the more curved S stems. I think M stem with S bar = hella short reach.

Did my floppy rear triangle to new style clip yesterday.
What a difference. I also changed to a firm sus block at the same time and added an fcb. Bike’s feeling so good now.
Not sure if these’ll load up in correct order but here we go…They didn’t, maybe if I split em up.
Before, greasing bolt and laying out all the washers etc for the new sus block and bolting it on…

Remove old seat binder, slide new one in and arrange the spacers etc on it (this was the hardest bit really).

Hold the lever down and attach the plastic handle with the self tapper and job done.

This is my debate, i feel like i remember people swapping the stem to get the front end low, but the M type stem loses the forward bend and would ruin the reach for me.
I think there is also pre and post 2017 M type stems which are different lengths

Not been in this thread for a while so possible this has been posted but this knock off Brompton looks quite good for the money. I've got a real one (and a Merc) so won't be buying one.

Tried Triton cycles in Lougton as they had a few cogs. Think I got a 13, 14 and 15 from them.
I have a spare s type stem...
It’s destined for my orange frame that feels like it’s destined never to be built
I have a pre 17 m type also
