Lol, would rep.
My retired parents threw an absolute curveball last year after spending their whole lives buying the most sensible things in every situation, only to decide that their next car would be an X5.
Baffled. But I am yet to shout fat cunt at my dad (he eats very sensibly, you see).

Aaaand I've got a full tank. Which means I can spend all tomorrow driving to a shit bit of Bucks for a kids birthday where their not serving food for the adults.
My OH waisted ¼ of a tank driving around earlier and noticed Morrisons had epic queues. Assumed it would have run out, but gave it a shot. Lucked out by taking a route* that allowed me to cut the queue and avoid the epic tail backs. Incredibly well organised and hats of the the Morrisons and their security for running it.
*the normal way I'd go rather than being crafty

What’s the go with low emission zone? I popped up to Perivale for some stuff and saw the signs. I was in my 2005 tdi Galaxy , the website won’t allow me to check as its navigation is up the creak.

My spidey sense says “outlook not so good”.

Will I get a fine then ? Or is there a fee? Not the ultra low zone as yet.
-
• #67282
Not the low zone yet.
The extension is on the 25th October.

Thanks, good to know.

Perivale is outside the ULEZ that will apply to your car, even with the extension later this month.
The LEZ is for trucks and buses and covers the whole of London(-ish).
The number of non-ULEZ cars and vans I see driving or parked outside houses where I live (inside the near future ULEZ) makes me think there will be riots when the fines kick in.

Walked past the queue for my local Esso- queue is on a red route, natch. Took 1
Minute 30 seconds to walk from one end to the other, and the station doesn’t have super unleaded so I can’t fill up anyway. -

Managed to get a tank of Momentum 99 at Tesco. The fuel range was officially 0 miles when I got there. Unfortunately most of the petrol stations round here are BP and they don't have anything at all.

ICE tho', what am I missing?

So many idiots at the wheel of these oversized cars. They all should first learn how to ride a bicycle. Pretentious twats.

Ugh, I have no idea about them just saw they were launching. I actually assumed they were leccy cars based off old land Rovers. Probably should read rather than just skim the pictures!

I went through the build process all the way to the end, was very surprised to see the 3.0l BMW engines as the only drivetrain option! 😂

I don't know when Vauxhall's became dull as dish dishwater, but their old stuff looked pretty wild compared to what most Brits were chugging around in in the 50's. Came across this 1958 Cresta this week, obviously influenced by the 'merican cars of the era.

That is a cresta PA
Which evolved in the the PB

Car thread survey - I always fill the tank to the brim when I refuel, never occurred to me not to do so. Who else does this, and who is shaking their head thinking “no mate, £30 every time”?
Just looked out the window, does anyone else shout an involuntary “Fat Cunt” when they see cars like this? These and X6s provoke a particularly strong reaction.
