I'd be interested in knowing a price/condition when you have the details please. Although the hankering for a Speedmaster again is strong.

The anOrdain Model 3: A Work in Progress
Now that is a proper blog post. None of the usual vapid guff with some affiliate links that you usually get.

Yeah, unlike many microbrands, they give a shit about what they're doing.

No idea my thoughts about this really.. seems like almost every design element that B&R have ever used crammed together and yet I think I still have a soft spot for it .. it looks a thicc boi though.

I think a GMT works quite well in the BR-05 format, and the design itself is really nice (I like the way they've rounded the GMT hand). Unfortunately I think the BR-05 pricing is really pushing it. At three grand that's a nice watch, at £4.5k I don't think it makes sense. It doesn't wear well enough IMHO and the bracelet and overall finishing is not as good as it should be for that money. It just didn't feel special when I tried the original one on.

50m water resistant surely be fine? It’s a field watch after all.

NWD! It’s a Model 1, but super legible. Looks like a 50s/60s car speedo or something to me. The lacquered hands make a big difference. Really like the depth and texture contrast on the dial too.

It’s reminding me of a classic Mini speedo, with the rotated numerals.

Oh shit, that actually looks really great. Maybe the reason I didn’t like their press shots was just the brown strap?!

Boom.
Of the CWC watches, the CWC GS Sapphire Stainless Steel has a screw-down crown and 200m WR, but it is not in stock.
From Timefactors, the similar Precista G10 Military PRS-10 Sapphire has a screw-down crown and 100m WR. The crystal shape is domed which differs from the CWC Sapphire. Also from there, and larger at 40mm diameter, is the Smiths 'Seafire' with no screw-down crown but 100m WR, which has an unusual 4-ticks-per-second quartz second hand giving a more continuous sweep. [edit: Seafire is not exactly slim].
