I've just swapped out my 105 crankset so have one that I'll be getting rid of - it's not the latest version. Can send details and photos if it's of interest.
The insert looks like an interesting solution though so hopefully that'll work.

Going to speak with LBS tomorrow and see if they can repair similar to the video @littleK posted - not sure that’s a repair I’d be confident doing myself!
