It's just kitted out really poorly inside. My money would be on it being some kind of holiday home or rented out. The clue being the ubiquity of cheap flat pack and entirely free standing storage and the cheap, shit leather sofa.
Could be amazing in the hands of someone who knows / cares a bit about interior design.

100%. The house itself looks lovely but it looks like a cheap rental flat inside.
You might be right. I would say holiday home as they’ve got an office. Strangely impersonal though. No photos anywhere.

Isn't ripping out the 1990s built-in wardrobes the first thing people do when they move in to a house that has them?
It does look like they found themselves with a lot of house to furnish and didn't want to spend too much time or money on it. There are lots of sound reasons for that.
