  • Bars on most bikes are the widest part, with a regular bike you can just lift the front, turn bars and drag it, but can't do that with a cargo so see if you can demo it/take it home and see if it fits. Have seen people use a skateboard/mountainboard to slide front wheel on a cargo (with bars turned) to get into tight houses before.

  • Just put narrower bars on it.

  • Eat my long link. Has box dimensions of the p70 tho

  • Bars are widest on my bullitt with canopy too. I have installed VO Klunkers and they made a world of diff vs the straight no rise ones that the bike came with. Narrow or not you need a bit of sweepback with ergo grips.

  • This is my shed (some bikes should be on wall but I am lazy sometimes).

  • Thanks all. I think the best solution would be to build a long and low storage shed out front. ms_com doesn't want to lock a big burglar bullseye out front, which is fair. So it will need to go around back. There are already two locked gates to go through, so I need to remove as many obstacles as possible for it to not be a pain in the ass to use it regularly.

  • I did 'design' an outfront storage for cargo inspired by @gillies creation but held fire on that as we need to re-do the front overall anyway.

His storage is on this thread but I cant use forum search lol

  • held fire on that as we need to re-do the front overall anyway

Same requirement here, but that will be a summer 2022 potential. Many more pressing reno issues. So there's a chicken and egg of cargo bike and shed. So if I want one any time soon, it will need to fit between the houses without getting royally scratched up.

  • for the record I would hate you if you get packster 70

  • Looks like it might only happen if I could shift my neighbours house a few inches North anyway.

  • Imo from a security perspective out front is best. Round the back just gives a thief some seclusion to work out of sight of everyone.

Happy to post pics of my set up, though if you want any, ask now as we're moving on Friday.

Need to think about a new setup for the new house. Bit more room to play with.

  • Looking like the Urban Arrow Family might be the one due to width constraints.

  • The load is also a little narrower.

  • Aye. Not planning on hauling more than one kid around.

  • Aye. Not planning on hauling more than one kid around.

When you meet other parents in the park, or anywhere else, your kid will boast of their bike. You will then be the role model cycling parent and HAVE TO GIVE THEM BOTH A RIDE SO THEY CAN SCREAM AND LAUGH.

It's contractual. When you sign your finance plan, that's in the small print. It's part of the deal. In the hope you convert more people to riding bikes.

  • Was actually thinking of another, but always keen to see more cargo biek pics.

  • Just watched a load of Packster 70 videos. Now planning the storage shed. I hate this.

  • UA is better value, the only thing that should swing you is storage (as you mentioned) the value of accessories such as child seat, canopy etc. and overall weight, I think UA is 49kg.

Overall value; UA seems better on paper.

  • By the time you add the cargo line motor and accessories to the UA, there's not much in it. Although, not sure what's included with the list price on Fully Charged.

  • ah ok, if thats the case R&M any day.

  • Is the Cube worth a look?

  • Packster - £5,891.00 with derailleur gears, cargo line motor. Not sure about accessories as it is not configurable so unsure if those things come as standard.

UA - £5,188.00 with enviolo variable, cargo line motor and additional rain cover.
