Variety is the spice of life etc but I really don’t want variety I just want to ride cycle paths and jump off kerbs, occasionally fall down a hill if I’m not using it functionally.
This is the life. I have a 17 mile each way commute so need a roadie and hate driving so need a lockable shopper. Gravel bike sitting up there on the wall looking nervous.
If someone wants this for £400? without the pedals and rack,
Arkane wheels
Wi free wheel
Paul levers
Xl pomp
Tasteful stickers
Nitto bars with ourys
It has been described by many a notable forum members as “the ultimate London bike”, “perfect really”, “surprisingly rad??” And “yeah, there is nothing super bling looking on it but it’s just well put together and looks great?”
If you really want the pedals and rack spot some extra
Think I bought it for 125 in a non functioning condition, had wheels rebuilt on wide rims, switched to v brakes, upgraded the free wheel, all new finishing kit, new levers,
Will put silver spacers back on so you don’t get attacked by glinner out and about
Hmu and come pick it up, just want to ride my homer round London and kinda bored with having multiple bikes / don’t have the room?
Generally just kind of bored of cycling in general lol, building bikes over lockdown has been great, I think I’ve built…8? All different sorts, could barely change a tyre when I started lol. And I think I genuinely do enjoy doing it, fixing friends bikes and helping people out is fun, so is having the tools, but owning bikes, riding them? I only need one. And I had the best one made for me.
Been doing a lot of mood boarding etc about what I want from a bike and it’s always like “oh I just want the bike I lost my mind articulating last year, it really is just the bike I want to ride
So much so when I go out to ride I wish I was on thrashers ogre because it’s ever so slightly like the homer lmao.
This pomp rides as good as one can imagine, but it’s pretty “mmmmmm can’t really do the type of riding I really enjoy on it” which is just… riding off road and around parks, then very slowly between gentrification stations. The pomp is fun and nippy, gets me around, but that’s it, and it’s not even a bike one can leave chained to a fence? Because ultimately I kind of value it, not monetarily but attachment wise. If I’m going to have a purely functional bike I’d like it to be one I can leave chained up and not have to take the tube.

More so to the point, while the frame is pretty special/ cultish really it’s just a simple bike, something one could build in 3 afternoons with a couple hundred pounds if I wanted another, it’s just stickers and bright cables, can do it to any frame. I think that’s what this bike has shown me
I don’t really care for bling
I don’t really care for variety
I do care for stickers and nice grips
I do care for big ass tyres
Any bike can be a hesh bike
sticks shotgun in mouth
