Been to his house in Mexico City, literally a small fortress: the bedroom had a single small window for ventilation near the 3m (iirc) high ceiling, thick steel doors with hinges as thick as a wrist, and to get through the doorframe you had to simultaneously step over a 30cm high concrete barrier and crouch under the 1.50m high top of the doorframe.

That's the one. A cousin-in-law really and even then not particularly close. Maybe I should get my uncle to draw that bit of the family tree sometime. Maybe put it into something like Gramps (anyone used it?).
I'm a bit cautious about anecdotes which affected the cousin of the bloke in the pub with the man that walks the dogs.
