I watched 'Profile' at the weekend. Very cleverly done and really drew me in.

watched the BBC documentary on 9/11 ('inside the president's war room') - pretty grotesque piece of hagiography really. bush is portrayed as some sort of noble hard man fs

Just finished Prisoners on Netflix. It's great, even hugh jackman was more than tolerable!
-
• #18181
Yeah it's a good 'un! Hugh Jackman isn't bad at all in it.

Paul dano too - he keeps popping up in films for me recently. watched There will be blood last week and he rivalled Daniel Day Lewis in performance imo.

Paul dano
Escape at Dannemora is well worth a watch for his performance amongst a brilliant cast.

Yeah he's great in There Will Be Blood! I've not seen much that he's been in but he's generally pretty good.

Little Miss Sunshine. Best ending to a film ever, I never whoop even at Marvel but I whooped at the end of that along with Dano and Toni Collette, who's also never in a bad film apart from that stupid space one with Anna Kendrick.

Little Miss Sunshine is excellent as well. Steve Carell isn't even shit in it, despite doing a serious.

re: carrell, I watched 'dan in real life' the other day (on prime I think?) - enjoyed that a lot.

Just watched it online, interesting how it's all filmed from the perspective of someone using a PC.
Really enjoyed it! -

I've not seen that! Will add it to the list.

I’ve tried recently to go through the mcu in order but I’m going to jo east I’m really struggling to keep my attention. Just not for me I guess

Anyone here use Letterboxd for rating films and the watchlist?
-
• #18194
Crazy Samurai Musashi - yawn
:/ -
• #18195
what the hell is this?
-
• #18196
Yeah I use Letterboxd, mostly for the watchlist because I'm useless at remembering what I want to watch and worse at deciding on something without a list in front of me.
-
• #18197
Overheard someone at work talking about this earlier, need to give it a watch when I get home lol
-
• #18198
Oh absolutely, my watchlist there and my plex library I reckon I have enough films to last me a lifetime
-
• #18199
I've been meaning to try Plex. I'm not very good with computers (not terrible but not very good), is it easy enough to set up?
-

I’ve got it setup on a remote server, but yes if you’ve an old computer/laptop you want to leave on then it’s pretty straight forward to get setup. I would be more than happy to invite you to my plex server if you wanted to try it out!
Just rewatched Scott Pilgrim, a film that is the same age as my daughter, with my daughter, couple of bits that seem a bit hmm, but great fun and defo needs watching dead loud.
