I may have asked this before... has anyone got any experience of adding a 'fleck' or pattern to painted surfaces? I know you can get 'paint chips' to add to epoxy floors to give them a flecked look - I wondered if the same product could be used for a painted floor or whether there is an alternative equivalent.
another choice might be to splatter paint the floor but I'm not sure about the effect

Someone on here linked to a laser level attachment that let you attach it to doors, ladders, etc. Searching isn't finding it, can anyone point me in the right direction. Cheers

I’d like to insulate my garage roof. The roof timbers are 75mm.
Can I just fit 75mm cellotex between them?
What’s the correct thing to do?
The roof looks like this.

My Lidl one came with an attachment. Had it clamped to a cardboard tube that was taped to a stepladder to level the tops of the shelving rails from one alcove to the next. Worked well. Unless mini_com was hammering around then it was just a shit wobbly light show against the wall.

I think you may want to fit something a bit slimmer to allow airflow?

Between and under the rafters will give you the best performance - there should be a 50mm air gap under the felt - which is tricky here. perhaps you could get away with 25. or maybe look at multifoil options like Triso Super 10.

You're probably going to want ridge vents or similar too.

Although, it does depend a little on what you are going to be doing in the room - A bit of breathing for a few hours isn't likely to cause a huge amount of condensation, whereas cooking or drying laundry would.

I'm planning to update an old radiator. It is very wide - 1830mm. I can't find anything that size online. How much of a bigger job is it going to be when I ask a plumber to swap for a 1410mm one?
I'm guessing a fair amount - pulling back carpet, lifting floorboards, cutting, welding pipes etc.
I think I need to abandon doing just this and leave that job until such time as I redecorate/rearrange/re-carpet the room, really.

Update on the log cabin. They said it wasn't an issue. Waiting for the adrenaline to wear off.

Why not get an 1800mm and then you can either get see if the pipes will flex inward 30mm or add a short extension pipe?

Where do you buy them? There are soooo many options online but I have no idea who is reputable. I'm looking for pine primed and we're in Scotland. Any ideas

Thanks both. I'm Glasgow.
@cozey did you go pine or primed MDF? I have never had MDF skirting and while it appeals I just don't know what the finish is like or is it not noticeable.
