  • @yoshy @Bossman thanks a lot for the measuring up - almost certain it is an expedition now!

@Föhn really cool set up and bike. your camper longflap looks like it fits the expedition well, wondering now if a fully loaded bag pulls down the tubing to give that extra space. did you find it needed much squashing for the bag to fit?

  • Your presumption that everything should line up isn’t a bad assumption but won’t fly in carradice-land. The bend in the rails of a bagman are a bit off comparative to the bags. Probs been using the same bending tool and bag patterns for decades which have eventually become misaligned?

  • Thanks! I have to push the bag down a bit to make the quick release fit. My camper longflap only has soft items in it's main compartment, so that's no issue at all for me. The support struts stop the bagman from flexing, otherwise it would flex quite a bit with a fully loaded camper longflap.

The longflap is great, but when you use it to fit a tent underneath like i did, make sure to strap it to the dowel. I didn't and lost my tent up in the mountains. Only realized the bag slipped out when i was down in a valley trying to set up camp while pouring down.
