Car audio/sat nav question
I want to replace the original stereo in my 2004 car. Don't need cd, just radio and bluetooth.
Current setup has a cd-slot phone holder and a charger with a bluetooth to FM adapter.
Feels like I should be able to get all of that in one unit now instead of chargers, mounts and cables looking like a Halfords car boot sale.
What's the standard non-audiophile car audio setup these days?
everything (sat nav, audio UI) on the phone, phone in a third-party holder, bluetooth connection for music
head unit with satnav, bluetooth for music, audio UI on the head unit
something else?
You can get head units that will run Android Auto /Apple Car Play wirelessly which seems handy to me. Probably worth more than a 2004 car though.
