Yeah Sarr looks an excellent prospect at a great price. Agree to a point about Adama (see papers are reporting Spurs are in talks with Wolves) but he offers something nearly unique (not his limited end product) and at age 25 a small improvement in end product would be significant and would protect the investment - I'd not want to spend 40m as is being suggested though. He seemed to turn a corner for a few months last season (or was it the one before) where he was consistently putting the ball 'into an area' with great accuracy and consistency....until he stopped doing it all of a sudden!

I know it won’t last… but top of the league and playing good football with a real togetherness about the team. IMHO the best LB in the league, Ogbonna and the Watford bargain looking solid at the back and Cresswell looking good at RB, Rice and Soucek reading and bossing the middle of the pitch with Benrahma, Fornals and Bowen on the perfect front foot and Antonio ever being the handful who’s finishing has improved massively.

I’m sure the wheels will come off as fixtures start to stack up and the thread bare squad will get injured.
And they’ll probably struggle against Norwich and the rest of the bottom of the table

Antonio’s post match interviews are always great value but yesterday’s was especially nice to watch. Moyes and the team deserve all the plaudits they’re getting but with a minimum of 6EL games added to their fixtures at some stage the wheels are expected to come off. Any youngsters that might step up for that and the cups?

This is it now, we win the league, Arsenal go down, none of the Manchesters get into Europe.
Only shame is how high Liverpool and Sp*rs are up the table

Well played WHU last night.
In other news it turns out that both Fat Ronaldo and Matt Perry from Friends are gooners

Happy to see Moyes doing well, albeit early doors. As I’ve always maintained, despite many football voices saying he was a dinosaur and the game has moved on, he’s a great manager. His 10 years at Everton were in my peak match-going years and what he did with virtually no resources was exceptional.

Burnley lined up 1-11 on Saturday (possibly a reflection on our lack of transfer business) which it seems hasn't been done in the Premier League for 20 years or so.

In fairness, a lot of what Burnley do hasn’t been seen in the league for 20 years ;)

I’m exceedingly happy with Moyes at the helm. When he was reinstated I thought we needed to move forward and his appointment was a backwards step. By Christmas last season he’d completely won me over. His post match interviews are a joy, no bullshit and isn’t afraid of owning up or calling out errors made.
I just hope he’s given funds not only for players but to transform a woeful scouting system. -

stupid from Perez last night. ruined that game with that rush of blood. great stuff from the hammers though. real threat going forward with Benrahma now showing good on his promise.
antonio is a delight to watch

Yeah, mighty happy that Fornals walked away from that, could so easily have done serious damage.
Was nearly as shocked by the naivety of the Soyuncu back pass

Moyes seems to do better on a tight budget.

yep equally awful. though not as potentially damaging.

Indeed, the archetypal frugal Scott. 3 of his last signings have been peanuts in modern day PL terms; Dawson, Coufal & Soucek.
We’re desperate for at least one CF, another CB and need cover in numerous other positions. That amount of budget players still £££
