maybe it's my non-Sworks cages....? 😉
-
• #328
I have an S Works cage spare I think, with matching SWAT tool (if needed) to resolve that grievous error.

Spot the difference…
A freak gust of wind induced ‘upgrade’.

High end carbon nanotube hanger?
How exactly did this happen?
-
• #332
Wheels MFG direct mount hanger - nice bit of kit actually. Could not find for the life of me the Specialized hanger so went with this instead listed as SL6 but worked and they are apparently the same. Grand service as always for SJS Cycles to get this delivered next day.
Bike took a tumble onto grass when I left it propped up against the fence for a couple of mins late last week to grab a drink. Somehow the very minor fall caused a twist in the hanger. Guess it’s better than a new - if you can find one - derailleur… £5-600!! I got this second hand in January for £160 😎
2/3 on spot the difference - the new bolt is silver (yuck).

Wheels MFG direct mount hanger
Ha I was taking the piss! I thought you’d bodged something 😂
Didn’t realise that new bit is actually a new hanger! What I thought was some sort of plastic temporary bodge is actually wheels mfg hanger 374?
-
• #334
Exactly that. A 374. Nicely machined and all, but £35? Nah. But desperate I was.
I’m such a shit weight weenie also. I did not weigh the hanger before I fitted, nor have I weighed the old hanger and the bit I removed from the derailleur. So I can neither confirm nor deny that the bike is now lighter.
On the shopping list for the bike right now:
- Hope 30mm BB in Black (dub adapters already purchased)
- A aeroz appropriate AXS compatible front ring in 50 or 52T flavour. Plan B is get a quarq power meter and just whack a normal 110/130 ring on - easy and cheap swaps.

You got the red chainset then?
I’d maybe take the rings if going up for sale? 🤔

• #336
A weight weenie without S Works cages? Pish.

I was todays years old when I found out that you can mix mtb derailleurs with road shifters on di2. I guess the mixing doesnt work when its road FD and mtb RD.

Correct.
Current combo works a treat, but is 1X limited due to FD compatibility. Clutch though = silent lane bashing :)

• #339
16 grams for the current. Can the S-works better that? 🤔

Those Garbaruk rings look intersting.
I'm just about to head to the post office ;-)

Do you have another carbon cage?
I still only have one! -
• #342
Do it. And if it's aero swat more so.
I don't need matching bottle cages... I'm about to create a SRAMano monster 🤣 Might get some mismatched wheels just for lolz now.

I'm feeling left out here, don't have any s-works cages for my tarmac...
Are they for sale? If goatntrike doesn't want both I'd maybe take the other one
Small water bottle looks really small.
Big bike looks ace though!
Will need to take a pic of my Tiny Tarmac with small bottle for comparison
