I'm trying to remember a song from a tape I got free on a metal magazine in maybe the 90s.
I think the song is called Accidents Happen or Accidents Can Happen but that could be complete bullshit.
There's a lyric in it that goes: "he just ran into the knife.... four times.... backwards"
It may be another number, like five times, backwards. Whatever. The concept is an accident that's clearly not an accident.
I know L7 had a song on the same tape but I don't know who sung this "accident" song and I can't find it which is doing my head in.

Nice batch - all have been on rotation over here! Not really a deathcore fan, but that Mental Cruelty LP has been fuelling my trips to the gym for a while!!

My first gig in 15 months was on Tuesday evening - a solo set by Patrick Walker of 40 Watt Sun, ex of doom band Warning. Much more mellow than his old material and played on an amplified acoustic guitar, with one track accompanied by a friend on electric guitar using a E-Bow, but it was terrific stuff. Worth it for his vocals alone, tbh.

same (excluding the gym)! would never call myself a deathcore fan, but there's a few guilty pleasures like Fallujah's The Flesh Prevails :)

Was a great set, wasn't it! His vocals were amazing that night. Where abouts did they seat you? I must have been near first-in when the tickets went in sale so was a bit bummed to be stuck up on the circle just for flying solo.
How good was "Restless" though! Proper got me! -

Yeah, the guilty pleasure of deathcore is strong sometimes! I’ve got a bit of a knuckle-dragging playlist for when the mood strikes which includes a lot of Fit For An Autopsy, Lorna Shore, Aversions Crown, Justice For The Damned, Humanity’s Last Breath, Shadow Of Intent and Sylosis.
Typing that reminded me just how awful Deathcore band names tend to be!

I find Wider Than The Sky completely hypnotic. Sounds like a great set!

It was my first time seeing him and I was properly blown away. We were sat in the stalls on the left of the stage, second row back. I wasn’t sure what to expect from the songs being even more stripped back, but it was superb, his voice is just perfect for that tone. Restless was great, but Stages was just brilliant, I love that track.

Also new Wolves in the Throne Room out today but so far the singles already released are the strong tracks. Will need to listen to it more.

a bit RARRR RARRR RARRRRRGH for my tastes but you can't beat a wholesome bowl of spicy agitprop screamo first thing in the morning.
