I know “I was being ironic” is the worst possible defence on any forum, but, in my defence, I was trying to make fun of the “she’s mine” thing.

Ditto. Hope nobody here thinks I was being serious. Well, not serious about the implied ownership and agression of the ironic "back off she's mine" or whatever. I am entirely serious about finding her attractive. I'm pretty sure that's ok.
