I've been able to book PCR tests at a drive-through centre near me with just a couple of hours notice and result back next day, so hopefully shouldn't be too disruptive.

You don't need to self-isolate if you are double vaccinated and get pinged by the app. You are advised to take a PCR test but there is no compulsion.
From 16 August 2021, if you come into close contact of someone with

vaccinated and it has been two weeks since your final dose of an
MHRA-approved vaccine in the UK vaccination programme.

Just got pinged this morning with 7 days isolation.
checked rules; need to take test before going back to work for double vaccainted.
