I haven't tried them yet but I was recommended Asket for t-shirts: seem to have a really useful range of sizes + making the right noises about material sourcing / worker ethics

Where is a good place north/east/central for alterations? I have a pair of suit trousers that need to be taken in an inch or so at the waist.

Pinnas & Needles in Soho, and Orhan Tailoring near Old Street have always seen me good.

Suggestions for linen trousers. Something that fits the “smart casual” requirement for going to restaurants in summer.

Speaking of which I tried this on today and it is super lovely - unfortunately I agreed to not buy any shoes or clothes for a year and have so far held fast. I’m being sorely tempted with this jacket, it fits and feels so nice.

Not linen but I’ve worn my universal works tropical track pants so much this summer.
They’re really nice to wear.

How do drawstring trousers look with a shirt? They always seem nice and practical for holidays (as you invariably get fatter) but never sure how they would look.

That was my issue. Bought a simple m&s linen suit, cheap and will give me the option of trousers or full suit but with options onsandals/trainers/shoes t-shirt/polo shirt/shirt for varying levels of formality.

Seriously though, isn’t it a kids / exercise / waiting-for-your-Ryanair-flight thing?

Exactly.

Can anyone recommend any other brands like Drake's and Anglo-Italian? Looking for stuff with similar range, aesthetic and price point.

Have a chat with this guy, mostly bespoke items, but pretty reasonably priced for what you get I reckon. Although I don't know how Brexit has affected him as he ships fabric to Italy for manufacture.

thanks for the suggestions
Right, what I meant was that I realized the Buzz was substantially lower priced than the McCoy’s in both iterations; nice to hear that the cheaper product may be the better one : )
I need to figure out whether the sweep of the 36 is big enough, or whether the shoulders of the 38 is small enough.
