Got veery excited about this Urban Arrow, then realised it had roller brakes :(

Every review I have read of roller brakes ends with a story of them catching fire, or failing on a long descent, and needing a total strip down to re-grease (if they havent melted). Why would Urban Arrow, or anyone, fit them to a £4000 bike? Infuriating because this is the exact chassis I want at a great price, but I'd need to switch out both wheels.

If that’s your budget why don’t you contact Pedal me? They are moving on their older XLs. CX, Rohloff, 4 pot brakes.

Yes I used to work for them, and someone mentioned this to me on a few weeks back. Everyone was super busy though and the conversation sort of stalled. Is it really happening now???

Definitely interested, who do I contact?
