  • My Tym Seaweed has a Mk4 Tonebender and a Triangle Muff in it, it's also got a mid boost which I think makes the Muff sound a bit crap... I'm not a huge fan tho', much prefer a Tonebender if I'm honest...

  • Big Muffs can be finicky can't they. But I think that’s why I love the DBA Fuzz War (and why it’s so popular AFAICT), it’s basically a Big Muff with a fuller frequency range. Thick “wall of sound” kind of thing. That’s what I want from a BM.

I only recently started getting interested in Tonebenders, in no small part thanks to you I think. I’d never really given them the time of day but having tried a couple now, they can be aggressive in a really pleasing way.

  • I always felt Tonebenders had a much more focused sound than other fuzz pedals, which is why I loved them... And they could also sound like a heavily distorted amp if dialled in correctly, at least to my ears anyway...

I really wanna try a Fuzz Face, never had one unless the Roger Mayer Voodoo pedal was based on one? Jimi connection makes me say that... Didn't really like it, recorded with it once (YT link below) because it was the only working fuzz I had, the producer did a really good job of making me not sound shit.
