I went out today in a Rapha Lightweight Shadow Jacket (which they don't actually make any more so is a poor recommendation) which is usually great in a sustained downpour as its more breathable than most.
However it stopped two minutes after I left the house and I wondered if a waterproof gilet might be a more versatile layer for warm but wet weather...

Any recommendations on waterproof running jackets? Ones that are at least usable without getting to hot inside?
Normally I'd just suck it up and keep wet, but doing longer runs and want to avoid getting chilly etc in the wind up on the downs etc.
