New to the site, and have really enjoyed reading through the whole of this thread. I'm constantly meddling with old bikes, and probably spend more time swapping parts around than riding them. Here are my current bikes that would qualify for this thread. I'm not convinced by the deep wheels on the Master, and will probably have a rethink on them.
The Master is a bit of a rehash, having bought the frame off ebay after having consumed rather more red wine than I should. The sharp eyed amongst you may spot that the top tube is no a normal round tube as opposed to the Gilco tubing. The frame must have been in a prang, and the old top tube was slightly kinked and had split around the cable entry point, and subsequently welded.
However, after extensive surgery, it built up into a nice bike, and has seen a few iterations groupset wise, fluctuating between Campagnolo and Shimano Dura-Ace which it currently wears.
