London Marathon just 8 weeks away now so I've hit a block of training where my tempo runs get longer; anything over 10 miles @ anything approximating target pace is a good work-out, and I'm aiming to get these up to ~15 miles. Very pleased with today's 10 miles @ 5:36/m in wet, breezy conditions. (Sub-2:30 target = 5:43/m.) Relatively comfortable so I'm confident about adding a few miles on over the coming weeks.
What was most pleasing is running strong off some very erratic sleep patterns. I became a dad a couple of weeks ago. :-) :-) :-) Remains to be seen whether I'm gonna crash and burn horrendously at some point but at the moment I'm getting by on a heady mix of parental joy and a nagging sensation akin to jet lag.
I'm seriously impressed you've managed to continue training. I went out for a bike ride about two weeks after my eldest was born, and managed to ride into a parked car.
