  • And more #nogravel on Sunday with a 50km loop around Wendover woods and then onto the Ridgeway before finishing at the Musette cafe near Tring

  • Very cool cinematography in this gravel promo from campag.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WnNoi7BrlyA

  • This video is as cringe as their groupset attempt, fitting really

  • What's cringe about their groupset? Honest question. I was thinking about it for when I build a gravel bike next year.

  • Crank looks like a carbon fibre shimano nexus crank

It costs more than my bike and doesn’t even beep boop?

Only ever see it featured on bad taste euro bikes and spaghettiphile Americans

  • Spaghettiphile?

  • We discussed Ekar on our ride yesterday. Me and @pastry_bot

    He is a campag guy.

    The conclusions were:

    Its okay.
The reasons its being popped up is mainly to do with the fact that ETA on GRX is 2022.
All the GRX we are seeing is OEM procured.
    Campag guys are weird.
    Its okay.

I still need @timmah! to give me 'real world' answer to what the fuck is that down shifter even?!

  • Commonly mistaken for a down shifter, what happens is every time you touch it you transfer campag 30# , you register your card at purchase

  • Anyone know where the Columbus Futura Gravel forks might be in stock? The 382mm a-c ones...

    Edit: ciclicorsa does

  • Good to see another Sequoia in the wild. I hit the 7,000 mile mark on mine this weekend (gratuitous pics enclosed)

  • What's the story behind the singlespeed conversion? Hadn't even crossed my mind to attempt that

  • I snapped the rear mech and bent the hanger playing in the woods and was going ‘borrow’ the rival groupo from Liz’s TCX once I’d fitted eagle to it, but she’s getting on with it as is. Still I’m actually really liking my SSSequoia it matches the SSSWorks tricross quite well. Anyway having one bike with gears is more than enough :D

  • Ah, a broken derailleur certainly explains it. Will try to keep mine intact: conversely two steel singlespeeds is enough for me for now...

  • 50 fps - the least cool framerate

I liked the edgelord Wolfbotts style skid @ 22 seconds in.

  • The grrl has you beat... it's a DOUBLE SEQUOIA...

  • The down shifter is a 'C' which symbolises receptiveness. Openness, receiving. It is in relation to the horseshoe, the 'other half' or pockets.
This relates to gravel in being 'open' for new experiences, new friends, and new custom bar bags.

  • Haha!
    SNAP!

  • SSSWorks tricross

    Pic please :)

  • This is the one true Sequoia to rule them all

  • Excuse the crap pics, it’s at the lock up…
It’s a real parts bin special. £99 frame off eBay (titled as a ‘special works-cross’), 42-19, some Roval pavé wheels, gusset tensioner, 10 105 levers, avid cantis, so basically no brakes! Specialized fact 8 forks. Oh and now with midge bars and super sam tyres. I do have some contemporaneous DA to go on it once I find some cheap cranks.

  • NICE!
Goes to shed to dig out the welder…

  • I'm now looking up the nearest sequoia to park my bike against. Is there already a thread for "bikes next to things they're named after"?

  • I hope nobody posts a pompino if there is

  • No pompinos please.
