But if you had the option of a second set what would you do. :)
I have some hunt 4 season and thinking about the adventure sport 650b so i can run some slicks for commuting and then have a gravel wheelset on hand.

sorry if this is a dumb question..
Im selling my winter bike to buy something that can do gravel as well as winter (a Specialized diverge).
Can I reuse my 700c hubs to build a new 650b wheelset?
I have hope r45 and a Son dynamo front hub, 28h rear 24h front
Wondering if they are bomb proof enough, the Diverge came with 28/24h 700c wheels so 28/24 but in 650b should be stronger, right?
Im mostly keen to re-use the Son dynamo hub tbh.

soo... got a silly project in mind and would to buy (but maybe just borrow in the first instance a rear to check clearance!) a 650b rim brake wheelset that'll take an 11 speed cassette - anyone got anything going?
Cheers,

Fixed 650b idea for steamroller on a budget.
Can anyone recommend any good wheelsets ideal for conversion? Before I try this Decathlon option - https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/27-5-double-walled-v-brake-mountain-bike-rear-wheel-with-freewheel-and-nut/_/R-p-196999?mc=8515100

Thanks Lowbrow but I am after a rim brake type!

are you trying not to have to rebuild the rear wheel with a track hub? there are wheelsets in silver (with a freehub'd rear wheel) on ebay for £87.88 posted that could also be of interest?
Other than that give SJS a call and ask what 650b rims they have in stock, they have some that are about £15, so if you pick up a no name track hub on here for £10 is then spokes and build you'd get a relatively budget rear wheel...
You going to run fixed with a rear brake? otherwise a disc rear rim would be fine?

Any better suggestions than tubeless g-one speed in 2" for a winter road plus tyre?

I was going to give those a go when the gravel kings wear out.

WTB Horizon in 47 are slick. If it's for road use I'd rather these than something knobby.
I used mine for Chilterns and stuff too so it's not like they're suddenly incapable of gravel use if that's what you're after. -

This.
Also Teravail Rampart, Vittoria Terrano Zero and WTB byway on the list of alternative.

when the gravel kings wear out
A good reminder to stop pondering spending on bikes I rarely ride atm
Does anyone know where one might find the longer canti bolts that have a hex head in the middle, thread both ends, that the Randonneuse bike nuts use to mount bag racks from? I’ve found them in the US (René Herse), but ... anywhere nearer?
