Yes, very. Not used to him making any excuses for failures either. The team coach told him several times, was claimed in a newspaper article.

Did he actually say that? It's equally likely that he just had a brain fart given the fact it was an Olympic race and pressure was on. Half way over the bars he was thinking "oh yeah, they were going to remove that".
Also, I wonder, did they get any warmup laps before the race?

Total shit show, with these 'no one told me' excuses. Hope the tt-ers (providing someone told them to bring their tt bikes) and trackies will make up for this... :-/
