TBH, if you are able to contact work and tell em you have flu, then you don’t have flu.
I’d hate to get it if I lived alone or had nobody that would pop round and check if I ‘went off the radar’. -

Yeah it's are Cav again. That outburst at the mechanic, odious wee cunt.
Absolutely no need. He should be on fucking cloud nine. He couldn't have bought a win this time last year.

Drifting.
The sport itself is the fodder of spotty teens but to feature it in road car reviews or do it on the streets is infantile in the extreme. -

Game changer. It’s now part of my routine.

Few years back I was standing outside our place which was right next to a roundabout, a young lad in an old BMW came screaming around it drifting the fuck out of it... He almost lost control as he was straightening up and at one point I thought he was gonna take me out on the pavement... He didn't bat an eyelid, neither did I... It was ridiculous but, in a way, also quite cool... Must've been about 4pm in the middle of the week...

Pro drifting is pretty impressive (having seen maybe 3 minutes of clips on YouTube)
Doing it on public roads is just idiotic.See also pricks on motorbikes doing wheelies on pothole riddled public highways.

With no top on. Seems to be a thing in Lewisham.
Can guarantee that nobody would do that if they'd ever seen what happens when you come off.
Its similar to what happens if you lose your footing on a steep glacier and aren't lucky enough to fall into a crevasse to stop you sliding /CSB

Hair bobbles.
Very specific parent of long-haired children hate I guess, but I’ve got 2 daughters and it comes up a lot. Always tons of the things lying around everywhere normally. Then you need to put some hair up and they all just instantly evaporate in to the bobble aether.

I spent approx five years always having one on my wrist. Now she's old enough to live and die by her own ability to find one.
In fact, she has just had her hair cut short.

As a kid my hair was short until I was old enough to decide whether I wanted it long and then it was my responsibility to deal with putting it up

The BBC olympic highlights. Watching a selection of British athletes have fairly mediocre performances isn't what I'd call highlights.

Accidentally stepping on a snail. Happens a lot in my garden in the evening. Sorry for ruining your lovely home and the slow agonising death by dehydration that awaits mate.

In bare feet cos you're only going twelve feet from the door.

You just gave me the final clue to understanding why my MIL had her daughters’ hair cut short when they were kids.

I have lost friends over this, and you know, I feel better for it tbh. My family's health and safety are more important.
Seconded. I’ll miss the friends they were, but I’ve had multiple relatives die from covid. If a family member caught covid from a reckless friend of mine I’d never forgive that person or myself.

It’s 99% heartwarming backstory and “tell us how it felt” post event interviews and 1% actual sports footage

Bug Hotels. Somehow a small cottage industry has convinced my daughter that wild insects are incapable of finding themselves a place to live. When what they really want isn’t a load of bamboo with a roof on it’s a very unkempt garden with loads of rotting wood and a load of weeds everywhere. Exactly what my past 5 years of laziness in our own garden has created.

How many spins can a gymnast do, kickflips can a skater do, backflips can a BMXer do in a minute?
