What do you mean "the same" 1.85mm spacer?
If you put road 11s onto road 11s freehub it shouldn't need a spacer (normally, fuck knows what Mavic and other knobhead manufacturers do) but 11spd MTB will need a spacer on 11s road freehub.

I have done this straight up swap last month and used the same spacer. Check you're installing all the spacers between cogs and that the lockring tread on the freehub is clean and allows for it to be screwed in. The two cassettes should be equivalent.

Swapping the hg700 11-34t for a m7000 11-40t as mentioned last week. According to the box it needs the same 1.85mm spacer but after installation, the m7000 has some play in it. Am I doing something wrong?
