Cav has put himself in a pretty good place on a contract point of view.
The sponsor draw of having Cav winning the most tour stages next year must be enormous.
For example ISN has a old sprinter berth opening up…Problem is that at DQS, he’s not going to be guaranteed a spot. It Fabio Jacobsen gets back to form, or Merlier transfers in, then Cav will have to fight for his place.
Are Cav just has to turn up next year and grab an early stage victory and then he doesn't even have to bother trying to survive throughout the mountains.
One and done.
(just has to = do a metric fuckload of training to be in the right shape in order to even have a chance of riding in the tour)
