How do I bathroom / kitchen / extension? etc.

Ohhhhh fair does. Yeah the quote for the window is just mini sliding doors really, but also not keen on paying 2.5k for a window.
I’ve got a couple of quotes in now but it always feels a challenge to work out what the actual product looks like.
Also wondering if I’m jumping the gun and should just wait a year or two until we do the loft and get them all Velfac (they might actually reply to a larger order, pricks).

We had a similar choice a few years ago, wet ufh, young kids and pets. Went for LVT throughout, same design through the whole floor, but a darker colour in the utility/ dog rooms. Definitely feel we made the right choice. Floor looks the same as the day it was laid and has been easy to keep clean and tidy.

That’s good to know, which LVT brand did you use?

I think we are leaning towards LVT in the living room diner kitchen area, and tiles in the utility, wife is concerned about dragging things like bikes, lawnmower, garden tools through from the garage to the utility.

We’ve been told the patterned wooden plank effect is pretty hard wearing and doesn’t show many scratches, though we’d also thought the Quickstep Livyn tile effect planks looks quite good.

We went for wood effect, and it has taken a real battering with no issues. I used LG stuff (oddly they make everything!) as it was very much at the budget end, and had 150sqm to do...

I've gone for commercial grade vinyl sheet for my house. It's not expensive, very hard-wearing. I'm having a plain flat colour, but it comes in various prints and effects. Forbo and polyflor have a good range .

I posted this floorplan not long ago and thought it'd be an idea to move the toilet from the back wall to under the stairs to open up the back room more - but I think I omitted the fact that it's a mid-terrace.

Does that rule out the possibility of such a shift, as the soil pipe wouldn't have sufficient drop to cover 5m or so to the back wall/main soil pipe?

The other option would be using a saniflo/macerator type system - anyone had any experience of them?

Hard to say without knowing the pipe work but I can't imagine it will be an issue as its not a massive difference.
Macerators are hell on earth, I'd avoid.
How much work are you getting done? Because that floor plan is screaming out to have the kitchen rearranged and big doors put in the back.

Doesn't rule it out, but does make it awkward. I managed to fit a toilet under my stairs in a very similar setup to yours , with the soil pipe boxed in at floor level -rather than underneath- until it gets behind what for us is the kitchen units.

Everything I've heard about macerator toilets seems to agree, hard no.

You could use a saniflo, but be prepared to change it in 2 to 3 years as they just dont last for some reason.

I don't see why you would need a macerator but the plumber will let you know

Depends on how the soil pipe runs under your flooring.
If you follow 1:40 drop, then its 25mm every metre, and 5m length (I imagine it would be less than this) would be 125mm.

yep, plenty of other worked planned (in our heads - mid-purchase at the mo) including opening up the current kitchen by taking that wall between it and the dining room and rejigging it (probs along the wall with with chimney breast, then also removing the current wall diving up the utility. Would also like some kind of glazed double-doors between dining and living rooms, one or two velux windows in the current kitchen roof etc. etc.

Oh, great! For some reason I thought the drop had to be considerably steeper, thanks!

The floors en route to outside will be coming up as they all old (90s) cracked tiles so hopefully enough space in the void below.
