I thought those other cops shared a photo to a WhatsApp group and were charged with misconduct for that?
Have I missed something that makes you guys think they were corresponding with him?
-

An "inappropriate graphic" apparently:
Gross misconduct notices have been served to three officers over an
investigation into a probationary Met Police constable who allegedly
shared an inappropriate graphic relating to the Sarah Everard case
with officers over social media before subsequently manning the cordon
at the scene of the search for her -

Not sure why I'm so bothered by this but are the Daily Express using F rather than C as a way to stick it to those disgusting metric Europeans or am I massively overthinking it?
-

I think that's exactly what's going on.
Surprisingly not priced in shillings tho.

I think the only people in Britain that understand Fahrenheit are Americans, maybe they've got an American editor and don't put as much effort into checking their headlines as you'd expect from such a prestigious and well regarded media outlet.

As I understand it the tabloids use F in the summer and C in the winter to make the numbers look
more extreme. -

It's numeric code, if you look closely you'll find a 14 in there somewhere as well.

88= 8+8=14, fucking hell, you're right.

88 = Heil Hitler

88f = 31c
8+8 = 16
3-1 =2
16-2 = 14Edit:
8+8 = 16
16th letter in the alphabet = P3+1 = 4
4th letter in the alphabet = DPD = Princess Diana
The Express loves AreDi.

sorry mixed up the tabloids, the express seems to be using C on the website too. I noticed it with the daily mail.

the shitshow presently kicking off in SA serves as a stark warning about what happens when vast inequality is normalised, when you have expensive malls chock full of high price ticket items alongside huge proportions of the population living hand to mouth.
eish.

I think those two are an example of an editorial decision to try to maximise the sensationalism of the stories - how very unlike them...
30C and 14F wouldn't look quite so extreme in text.
Although given how it is said tabloid news websites work, maybe it was dependent from wherever in twitter it was cut and pasted...
