Grab some salt, but Tao told the Guardian he’s feeling stronger and wants to do something to remember at this year’s tour.

Did Sean Kelly just say the 'eyetalians' would have been up watching the final?

We did a walking holiday in the area of today’s stage (starting in Montsegur) over 10 years ago. We had every season every day, but it was glorious. The highlight was the hostel half way up a mountain with amazing hosts. They sold blanquette de limoux at around €3 a bottle (it is unusual that we do not have a bottle to drink during a Pyrenean stage this year). Walking the next day was less than pleasant.

Fred Wright is going to be worked hard trying to keep that break together for a sprint for Colbrelli

Watching Eurosport and they tell you which names and nationalities are in the breakaway group, but not the teams.
Most of the time you can make out the team kits from the images itself, but on the whole I'd much rather have teams than than flags listed in those quick breakdowns.

That being said, I probably only recognise half of the team kits at first glance.

This stage is unbearable; arm warmers rolled down to the wrists left right and centre.

Massat is a lovely little place of crusty hippies. Spend a week there last year, beautify country the Ariege.

I really hope cobrelli can pick up a win, he's knocking on the door, clearly in incredible form.

He’ll be shattered by the time the Olympics come round.
Edit: he’s not down to race. Seems mad to me.

Dunno if this had been covered but Max Walsheidt's effort at the wheelie contest on stage 15 was quite something
