Would like a new S2L, however no stock availabe anywhere. Plenty of new electric Bromptons available, why is this?

Higher overall cost plus possibly the margin on the ebike stuff is pretty good so producing/selling them is more lucrative than standard bikes?
Batteries have a shelf life so get them out the door as a priority?

So I managed to lose my Brompton (I folded it up as I got into a taxi and forgot to put it in the boot... beer may have been involved). Bit gutted as it was only just over a year or so old :'(
Anyway, I've just looked to get a new one to replace it and it seems they are still in very short supply. Is there anyone taking custom orders at the moment? It seems 2-speed bikes don't feature much in off-the-shelf/in stock bikes!

How much is an S2L worth in the current climate? All fresh hinges, all fresh cables.
I also have a brand new black edition BWR wheel if that interests anyone?

I hope that's not an orange 2020 model S2L found abandoned in SE London lol

Anyone have any experienced in servcing Brompton wheels? The bear on the front wheel is like a grinding rough paste, as well as the rear hub isn't too smooth either.
Spoke to a mechanic at Brompton junction workshop and said it is better to just replace the wheel than servicing them.
Contis come up a bit wider, they are a bit smoother in tread and have more grip. I simply find them to be a higher quality of tyre also.
For total comfort; telescopic and fit a suspension seatpost or a sprung saddle?
Bars / grips make a huge difference;
I fit wider bars and ergo grips to pretty much 8/10 builds
