Can anyone recommend a small hip pack/ bumbag for phone, pump, co2 canister, not much more.
I have a seat pack with tube and tool, and I use a small frame bag for longer rides for jacket etc so it’s just for those your quick rides when I want a pump and phone and maybe keys.
Something a bit different maybe, even forum member made?
Thanks -

Sounds like a job for Dan https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/331860/?offset=350#comment16048121
Made 3 bags for me now (one was a gift) and they’re all great quality and made to spec for a very reasonable price.

Collins Cycle Works.
Edit: doesn't look like he's got any stock on his website right now but might be worth contacting him via Insta. His roll top hip bags are awesome.

Bash guard and invisiframe? Worthwhile additions to a new bike?
Am thinking with the aether low bb the bash guard makes sense.
-
• #21086
I've fitted one to my bikes, can't hurt and such are my mad skills that I've ended up balancing the bike on the bash when trying to clear logs and so on.

Playing devils advocate here really but mounting a bash guard on ISCG tabs can be dicey.
The tabs were not designed for taking hard knocks. Few reports of them breaking on Megatowers here and not being covered under warranty.
A bent tab on an alloy frame is probably less catastrophic than on a carbon frame but still worth thinking about. -

Who have you been doing training with at FOD? Was it the group training or private?
-
• #21089
I did a couple of Pro-Ride MTB group sessions.
-
• #21090
Which ones? I think I may start at the beginning. FOD trails are 30 mins from me

Any chance of a quick summary of the sessions you did?
Also how do people keep track of service intervals etc? Logging components on Strava or Garmin connect? Pro Bike Garage app?

I did the air-time and the flow sessions, the air-time one was fun (who doesn't like jumps?) but of the two the flow (which is basically cornering) was more useful.

I think you're supposed to change the oil in your fork when it turns black. Thats when you know.
