  • I’m riding 25c GP4 seasons. If I want to do longer road rides/audax, is there a better choice. Obviously I want comfort, low rolling resistance, puncture protection and good grip. But obviously that’s not the most realistic thing to ask for.

What’s the usual choice for these things?

  • Yeah, bigger volume for starters. 28mm or 32mm GP5000 would be super fast, 28mm Pro Endurance are more durable.

  • Looks like I can get 28 or 32 gp5000 for cheap as they’re being superseded by a tubeless compatible version, with the older ones now reduced.

I’ve also been offered a new 10sp group set and wheels off a pal who felt embarrassed on my behalf when he saw the set up I was running (8sp shifters and 9sp cassette is a real highlight, which I have no idea how it happened). So speed gains to be made all around!

Also, I’m definitely in the 2x Lachlan weight camp, so extra volume will help no doubt.
