I would be very surprised if you can get anything with off street parking for your cars that isn't insanely overpriced in EH1. Edinburgh is small enough that you're within a moderate walk or ride to anything you'll want to see.
Or, just move lightly further out, get something for better value where you have space for your cars etc.
Or just move to Glasgow, it's miles better.

To try to lesson the culture shock of leaving London, mainly- on the assumption that the closer to the centre you are the more amenities there will be ranging from coffee shops to museums.
I know very little about Edinburgh and would be the first to admit it though.
