  • Always worth having a look at the consumer unit to give you an idea on the electrics.

    Unless you buy somewhere that has just been decorated then you'll need to redecorate, even if it looks like you don't need to. Once furniture comes out, stuff comes off the walls, etc then even a decent looking room looks tired.

    The lack of doors and exposed staircase may cause issues re fire regs if you add a loft conversion or something later.

    Redecorating, do you think any plasterwork would need doing once the wallpaper was out? Would only do the downstairs and get rid of the yellow. Didn't notice many sockets so I'd probably want a few more.

  • It's always hard to tell, sometimes you get lucky. If it's in decent condition I'd probably just paint over it unless it's patterned. I suspect once you get in there you'd end up doing everywhere.

    By the way, you don't have to do @bobble as well as replying. Either one gives a notification, doing both gives two notifications.
